Elise Way is our newest house, for 9 girls. This is a large executive home in a fine nieghborhood on the Mesa, one
block from both of the Mesa malls and one block from the bus stop ( your student ID is a free bus pass! ). It is 1.2 miles
to the SBCC campus's western edge ( 1.6 miles to East campus ) and is a 20-30 minute walk or 10-15 minutes
by bike or bus. The bus stop in 1 block from Elise's door and the 2 kilometer bus ride is short and directly to campus.
The Elise House is a large Executive home with a fine rear porch area and patio and a finished garage complete with a
pool table. Most of the rooms are oversized. The living room is 12 by 27 feet, with a fine fireplace. One of
the finest features are the many built-in drawers and walk-in closets in the bedrooms. The covered outdoor deck is the length
of the living room and contains several sitting areas, and the 2 car is finished with non-coin washer and dryer. Part of the
upgrade of the Elise House is free washer and dryer usage in the rec room ( the other homes have coin op W&D ).
The Elise House has all the standard features of our other housing;
- All utilities paid including water, trash, gas, electricity, cable TV including HBO, Cinemax, etc., free
washing and drying and high speed wireless internet throughout the home.
- All furniture including bed, dresser draws and closet space and all common area furniture.
- A complete outfitted kitchen ( meaning pots, pans, flatware, etc. some restrictions apply,
see the start here page )
- A weekly delievery of fruit; apples, oranges and bananas.
- Bi-weekly cleaning

About the area.
Elise Way is a 2 block long street of beautiful large homes and spotless condominiums. At Elise Way and Miegs Road ( click
on the hourglass for a map ) begins the first outdoor mall anchored by Lazy Acres health foods and a nice health
food restaurant. Across the street is another row of shops with a Taco Bell, a bookstore and Dominoes Pizza. In that
strip is Rose Cafe, reknown across Santa Barbara as the best mexican food around. A lovely noisy family feel is always there.
Going to the 3rd quarter of the intersection of Miegs Road and Cliff Drive ( under the larger writing of CLIFF DR on
the map ) is the largest shopping of all. It has a Mac Donalds and an old fashion Foster's Freeze, 2 banks, the
Mesa Cafe for perfect americana fare, an Albertson supermarket and more and more.
If you turn right on Mieg's Road from Elise Way, you see the ocean looking over La Mesa Park, a beautiful slightly sloping
park that slopes toward the ocean and affords amasing views and ocean breezes. There is beach access through there. Turning
the other way on Elise Way from the house, it is a 5 block walk to the beach access stairs down the cliff at the end of Mesa
Lane Road.
