Cable may also be available in the rooms but will carry only the basic channels without the pay box. Full wireless property wide high speed ethernet internet access is provided.

The household cleaning consists of common area cleaning twice weekly. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans and utinsils and the bottom of the refridgerator is kept stocked with apples, oranges and bananas, so there is often a healthy snack on hand! Note: The bi-weekly cleaning is 2 man hours, twice a week. This is a crew of 2 who clean for 50 minutes on Monday and on Thursday, or 4 man hours weekly. If the house is found with many dirty dishes and the common areas unstraightened, much or even most of thier time will be used in the common areas only. If the main areas are kept up, then time for deep cleaning in the bathrooms and such will be available. Keeping a house is a shared duty between SBSH staff and the student residents.

Also, with the weekly full house cleaning, this allows for step-in supervision into the main areas  and bedrooms, where we can watch for unauthorized guests and undesired activites in general.

Regarding food, each student should be prepared for lite cooking, ordering in and be able to use the Cafeterias on campus. SBCC has 3 terrific food sources, including a full cafeteria with veggies, entree's and everything needed for a good diet. There is also a walk through cafeteria for food on the go and a great cafe on the East campus with burritos, sandwiches and such. All will take a debit card. In addition there is a full restaurant up there served by the hospitality department. This complete restaurant is geared more to the local public than the students, however its up there and can be used.

There is easy pizza and oriental ordering in Santa Barbara, and there is refridgerator space and individual dry storage for each student to prepare meals at home. The kitchen is stocked with pots and pans* and is ready for a microwave quick chef to full on maestro bakers.
