MOODY ESTATE WEDDING WORKSHEET The following worksheet is a general format to implement the standard package offered by the Moody Estate. Your wedding may or may not have all these variations and so every wedding may not follow each aspect below. But it is a good general guideline. Your invitations should traditionally go out 2 months before your date. Please include instructions at that time for the meal choices ( unless you are using our buffet ). You will need to arrange a way for them to communicate their choice to you, generally as they RSVP. You might consider an email RSVP ( and dinner selection ) in this day and age. Yet return mail gives you keepsakes too. How will your table look, and where will people sit? The smoothest weddings bring name place cards for the places you want each to sit. On these cards put the dinner choice for that person ( unless you are using the buffet ). It can be written below the name in a lower font or even a tiny code barely visible in a corner ( A,B or C ). Then we can serve with ease and speed to your guests, who will be sitting in exactly the groupings you envision. Don't forget any extras you want to have at the setting for keepsakes and favors. Consider wedding cameras now too. There are many sources, but here is a link for one of them ( http://www.filmart.com/cgi-bin/filmart/WMPK.html?id=tgkFwzpu ) The last choice here is to signify which settings ( or generally which 2 tables of 8 ) get the 16 places of Noritaki house china, if you want the immediate families to have settings different than the rest of the guests. All others will use our standard white fare.

When will your wedding start? You have the Moody Estate for the day, but an event with too much time between activities can falter. An ideal time line at the Moodys is arrivals from 3:45 to 4:15. Initial mingling and photos ( photographer from 4:15 to 6:15 ) till ceremony at 4:45 ( harp, guitar, flute or violin will play from 4:30 to 5:30 ). Photo groupings, mingling and hor dourves from 5 - 5:15 till 6:30 dinner ( Piano from 6 till 10:00 ). Dinner typically will last till 8:00 and will include toasts and speeches. The last dance with Dad and first dance of the couple works well near 8:00 and the cutting of the cake between 8 and 8:30 will allow desert service.

Dancing from 8:00 or sooner until 10:00 is normal, with extra band pieces arriving at 7 or 8:00 and playing until 10:00, based on your order. At 9:30 and 10:00 you will see the young and older begin to leave. After 10:00 the party will continue with CD music for all who remain, and we usually see the last leave about midnight.

This time line feels unrehearsed and natural, and has the coming and going of the vendors perfectly spaced. Please think this through and let us know if you wish for any changes.

Where will your ceremony be?
Based on your visits, choose your ceremony site and send us an email with this choice. The rain backup plan is facing direct toward the fireplace within the Ballroom.

Beverages? Make a note to bring liquor if needed for your guests. Wine and the champagne toast is provided during dinner. If additional wine is desired during dancing you can stock this at the no host bar also. The Moody provides ice, glasses and mixers. We have no corkage fee's or other added costs concerning refreshments. We have sodas, coffee, ice tea, etc. on hand / included.

Cake knife and spatula? This is a traditional keepsake which you may want to provide. If you do not bring your own set, we will have standard utensils on hand to accomplish the function. Note that we will package the remaining wedding cake for you to take home ( freeze it and have another slice in a year!).

Here is a summary of your choices:
