Maintenance Request Form

Please fill out this EZ form for all your maintenance requests. We will need only the most basic facts to help us prepare to fix the problem. Maintenance requests are cool to get, and are an important part of providing your housing for you. Please contact us without any worries. Each request may be graded for priority, but every request is important to us. It is never a bother! Its our job!

Issues involving safety, health and security are priority.

If your request seems urgent, then you should call at 805-451-2222 for immediate attention. These could include:
  • A broken pipe or faucet, and water is running/pouring.
  • A broken exterior door lock or window.
  • Anything that has broken and left something sharp and/or dangerous behind.
  • You smell gas! Check the knobs on the stove quickly perhaps, but get out and call for help! Call 911 if we dont answer right away.

Almost all non emergency requests are answered within a day, and dealt with within 3-5 days based on our workload.

EXTRA HELP!
If your request involves a water leak that cannot turn off, please turn it as off as you can and indicate the extent of the leak ( drip, fast drip, small stream, thumbsize stream, etc ). Please report these requests asap, including calling 805-451-2222.

INTERNET CONNECTION DOWN?

Can you FIX IT? Maybe!!

Your internet connection may be fixable by you and back to running in a couple of minutes, right now! Wanna try, and not wait for a maintenance visit?

OK. The internet connection is comprised of 2 boxes.
  • One is the modem, which has the round cable TV cable line going to it. This small box has a bunch of lit circles across the front. We will be needing to watch the right hand 2 later, the SYNC and READY lights. But thats later . .
  • The other is the WIFI box, and it has the 2 antenna sticking up.

Step ONE. Unplug just the power cord from the back of both boxes, so they go dark. Wait about 20 seconds.

Step TWO. Plug just the modem back in ( thats the one without the antennas ), and WAIT. Wait until those 2 right hand circles are lit and STOP blinking. This might take up to 2 minutes. This means the modem has fully hooked up to the internet, and that has to happen before energizing the WiFi.

OK. The modem is plugged back in and the 2 righthand circles, the SYNC and the READY lights have lit up and stopped blinking. You can now plug into the back of this modem with your computer and have internet right now. There are 4 ports back there for that, if this is as far as you can get. So there is internet in the house, right now! But now lets finish everything and try the WiFi too . .

Step THREE. Plug the WiFi box in and let it power up for several minutes. While this is coming up, boot your computer now too. Unless there is an issue with the WIFi box (rare ), this should have you back online wirelessly and going strong.

If not, and the 2 RH lights on the modem are lit solid, then use a wire into the back for internet for now, and send us a maintenance request with your basic connection. We will stay with it until your are back online wirelessly ( internet connectivity is not priority however, so try this first for sure! ).
