On July 8, 2011, from 2 to 5 p.m., Santa Barbara and California had its first Alzheimer's Café at the Peppers Estate in Montecito.

What is this?

An Alzheimer Café is a monthly gathering where persons with dementia and their family, caregivers and friends can be together in a safe, welcoming environment, in the company of other caregivers, volunteers and healthcare professionals, for the purpose of emotional support, education and social interaction.

Join us at our next Cafe, always the second Friday of each month from 2 to 5 p.m. Bring your senior, your family member, caregiver or just your own questions, and take away new friends and encouragement during a trying time. Always free to all.

The Alzheimer's Cafe includes tours of the estate, and is also a good way to preview the care portion of the home and our services at the Peppers Estate. We hope to see you soon.
