"Dave and Staff,
I cannot express enough how much I and my family appreciate all of you for
caring for 'Buffy' these last 2 years. You were really a Godsend for us. You took such great care of him. He loved the staff
there and also appreciated your care. We are very saddened that we lost such a great husband and father. Its been hard on
us and certainly very much as hard for all of you, but please know that you are all our angels for stepping in and caring
for 'Buffy' when we were no longer able to as his disease progressed. Hope all is well at the Estate. We are a little lost
in our way but with time it too shall get better.
Love, L, T and A"

The Peppers is a California Licensed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly ( RCFE
) # 425801439, and is overseen by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.
What is an RCFE?
An RCFE category is considered a non-medical board and care style home,
and offers structured 'care and supervision' for 6 beds ( the typical size in Ca. ). Care refers to assistance
with tasks of daily living ( dressing, etc. ), meals and housekeeping care. Supervison means following doctors orders regarding
medications and health needs, and observing for any changes to communicate in the residents condition. There are no Nurses present or required in our category.
The Peppers is required to maintain the protocols
of CCLD. This includes hiring quidelines, who can be present on site, cleanliness, hygiene and food handling standards
as well as care procedure and recordkeeping guidelines and medication storage / management.
This 'Community Care' purpose and these 'Community Care Licensing Division 'CCLD'
guidelines are the essence of our category.
There are over 8000 RCFE's in California.

In the endless summer of Santa Barbara, California stands a historic mansion in the shade of giant
Acacias and Live Oaks. The Moody Estate is an 11,000 square foot 9-bedroom, 10 bath grand Estate standing on 1.6 garden acres
in the heart of the community of Montecito.

The 3000 square foot Ballroom was added in 1914 from designs
by architect Julia Morgan, of Hearst Castle fame. In this room on March 9, 1917, Martha Graham debuted at the age of 21, and
it is from this room that she went on to define the modern dance movement for the 20th Century.
Composer and politician
Ignacy Pedarewski preformed in the Ballroom in 1920, while President of Poland. He played well past his chosen play list,
enchanted with the perfect acoustics of the new room.

"Dear David, My gratitude is unending for the dignity, care and compassion with which you treated
Ray and me. My only possible repayment is a lifetime of friendship.I pray that someday, I can provide you with some little
favor that could begin to show my appreciation. You are an angel"
